Sumaiya is the Representative of Bangladesh at Google Crowdsource. Google Crowdsource is an opportunity for the internet users to contribute and enrich own mother language on virtual space.
Sumaiya is also the Community Moderator of Dinajpur Local Guides. Local Guides is a global community of explorers sharing their discoveries on Google Maps. As a Google Local Guides, she was selected for Google Local Guides summit organized by Google at San Francisco, the USA in 2016 & 2017.
She got featured on Google Local Guides channels as part of International Women’s Day 2017. Sumaiya featured on Google Official Blog & Local Guides channels as Local Guides Couple part of Valentine’s Day 2018. Google Local Guides published a blog on Google Official Blog named “Meet the couple that guides together”
Sumaiya is an Ambassador at Incitement. Incitement is the next-generation social business – powered by inspirational talks – connecting youths, social causes, and corporations to tackle global issues together
Sumaiya is a Global Youth Ambassador under Her Excellency Mrs Sarah Brown, wife of Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, under A World at School: Theirworld.
Sumaiya is Regional Director at CoderGirls. CoderGirls is an international nonprofit organization to educate and enable female students in computer science.
As a social worker, she is working for Rohingya Community at Rohingya Camp Bangladesh and working on environmental issues, flood-affected areas and warm clothes distribution project. Sumaiya attended many national and international Summit. She attended Google Cloud Summit 2017 Malaysia, She also attended the Google Research Program at Google Singapore Office.
Sumaiya was a participant of The Inaugural Commonwealth Youth Summit – the first of its kind, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Wales during his first visit to Malaysia and The Deputy Secretary-General of The Commonwealth, Dr Josephine Ojiambo. This Summit welcomed 300 of the brightest young leaders of The Commonwealth out of 1800 applicants.
Sumaiya Participated in the Faith in the Commonwealth Youth Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop. (a fully funded residential training program held in Dhaka, Bangladesh by The Commonwealth with the support of Commonwealth Secretariat & Khalili foundation. Through this residential training program participants developed the ability to lead peer-based learning lessons & design community-based projects in their own respective field with the support of Commonwealth)
Also, she has been involved in many events as an organizer and speaker and she hopes to expand her activities, and support more women in the future. She is an inspiration for all those women trying their hard to come forward into mainstream entrepreneurship, Community leadership and social work.
